The challenge

Smartsheet was evolving beyond a collaborative work tool into the category leader for Intelligent Work Management. But that shift came with a challenge: how do you make an abstract, enterprise-level idea like “intelligent work” feel human, tangible, and emotionally resonant—especially to audiences tired of feature lists and software speak?

The Solution

We partnered with miniatures artist Derrick Lin to create Big Little Stories, a storytelling platform that brings intelligent work to life through small, human moments with outsized impact. Instead of talking about transformation at a macro level, each story focused on a precise, often intimate scene where clarity, flow, and momentum are unlocked behind the scenes with the help of Smartsheet.

The stories lived as both physical and digital experiences, debuting as an immersive art installation at the Smartsheet ENGAGE conference and extending into content series built for social. Together, they transformed intelligent work from an abstract concept into something you could see, feel, and explore, positioning Smartsheet as the quiet engine behind work that truly works.
